Dr. Abderrahman Hassi is an Associate Professor of Management at Al Akhawayn University, Morocco and a Visiting Professor at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany. Previously, he was a Professor at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada where he provided corporate training to executives of the Canadian federal government. He holds a Ph.D in Industrial Relations from the University of Laval, Canada where he worked on a comparative research study focusing on the influence of national culture on designing employee training activities in Canada, Germany, Morocco and Singapore. Dr. Hassi’s research interests straddle corporate training, case study method, entrepreneurship and cross-cultural management. He has published four books and numerous scholarly articles in top tier journals such as Cross Cultural & Strategic Management, International Journal of Training and Development, Journal of European Industrial Training, and Journal of Management Development. He has also contributed more than a dozen business case studies to the HEC Montreal Business School. Dr. Hassi provides consulting services in business management to various organizations such as Pearson UK, Algonquin College (Canada), University of Quebec, la Cite College (Canada), and Intel Corporation. Dr. Hassi has won several national and international awards in both teaching and research such as the Best Conference Paper of the 2015 International Conference on Economics and Business Management in Toronto, Canada, the 1st prize of 2013 Emerald/AABS Case Study Competition, the Outstanding Paper Award of the 2012 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, and was voted by Al Akhawayn University Classes of 2012 and 2015 as the School of Business Administration faculty with the most positive impact on students.
